Our school’s vegetable garden is a real agricultural activity in miniature. The students are given the task of managing (designing, building, growing, harvesting, selling) a real vegetable garden that differs from a professional one only in its dimensions. Vegetables such as lettuce, endives, beetroot, onions, broccoli, etc. will be grown in beds in the schoolyard. Through this activity, students will learn about the occupations related to cultivating the land and experience all the emotions experienced by professionals. They will also become familiar with healthy eating and learn about the hard work of land farmers.
